The first one, there can be other causes for this if people cant tell what gender you are, this can also shown in “metal heads” but this is just the first stepping in seeing if you are truly emo. Number 4 is to ask yourself when was the last time you cried, and what was the reason for that.

Emos tend to cry for no good reason, most say because “they hate there life”. Number 3, when was the last time you threatened suicide, when I say threatened, like your girl friend brakes up with you and you say “if you don’t take me back I will kill my self.” Ok if you have gotten this far it is safe to say you are emo, now to tell just how emo you are. Have you ever cut yourself or caused physical harm to yourself because your life isn’t going the way you want. Ok if you agreed with that last one, you really should think about counselling this could really help you, and change your life around.

Ok if you have ever actually attempted to kill yourself, this is beyond emo, if you have done this you really should seek help, most likely staying in a mental hospital. You will not be the only one there. Or at the least join a support group. Emos don’t actually try to kill themselves, they just threaten it and write bad poetry.
