Learn ideas for a home business for your teen to start.
Are you the parent of a teen who needs an income that does not include an allowance but is having trouble finding a job? Have you tried to help your teen make money on the Internet while finding out that some web sites will not pay anyone to do some things such as taking surveys or writing articles unless they are at least eighteen years old? Teens need to work but they are in a bad situation because they have to be at least sixteen years old to get many jobs and the sour job market is especially rotten for them. Fortunately, there are ways for your teen to earn money without receiving an allowance, being on an employer’s payroll or making money through the Internet. You will learn how you can help your teen start a home-based business.
A great way to help your teen earn money with a home business is to assess his strengths and weaknesses. It would be a good idea for her to start a business based on things she is good at doing.
Once you and your teen have come to an agreement on a home business, you will need to establish a good way to set it up. It might be a good idea for your teen to have his or her own telephone number. It is important for your teen’s home business to be listed in the local yellow pages.
Is your teen good at singing or playing an instrument? If so, help her set up a recital service. The two of you could try to persuade schools, churches and theatrical venues to pay her to sing or play an instrument for them.
Is your teen responsible and good at taking care of younger kids? If so, help him start a babysitting service.
Does your teen have an excessive amount of clothes or other items on hand? If so, she could try her hand at selling them in the yard or from the garage. Before she does this, check to see if she will need a seller’s license.

Is your teen in good physical health? If so, he or she should have a business that involves mowing lawns, raking leaves, shoveling snow and pulling weeds. In fact, your teen could probably find many people who are willing to pay him or her to pull their weeds because pulling weeds is very tedious and many people do not want to climb or squeeze into small spaces to do it. Everyone should wear thick rubber gloves while pulling weeds near thorny plants and they should wear protection for their eyes and ears while using a lawn mower.
