Hiding the Hoody

Hiding the Hoody

A lot of people judge you on the way you look.

Allot of people judge you on the way you look. Wearing a ‘ hoody ‘ generally categorises you as a person with behavioural issues and it drains out the real reason to wearing what you wear (i.e. wearing it for fashion or because you want to stay warm). To sort this out you would have to ‘ neutralise the look ‘; this helps allot in interviews/ school etc.

1. You could try wearing glasses?

You can buy cheap ones that have no strength on them from all sorts of shops. This will help make yourself look smart. You only have to wear them when they count and trust me they work.
I went to an interview for work experience and dressing up in a hoody was a bad idea. I was declined because “they didn’t have space for me” (quoted from them). My friend walked in the next day (also wearing a hooded jacket) ,but wearing glasses, and was told that they would gladly accept him. There was no difference in our race, accent etc. We were perfectly even for the job but what we were wearing was what resulted in the person getting the job in the end.

2. Try not to wear something baggy?

Police know that young people carry ‘ stuff ‘ under their clothes and is one reason to why baggy clothes that hang so low and look so large are worn. It’s a dead trick. Try wearing jeans that aren’t so baggy and can just about fit anything that is important to carry, it roles the attention off the police when they look at you and it also means you won’t be stopped so often.

3 Don’t wear it?

Do you really need it? You could always just wear a hat and a normal looking jacket. Howdies are good to look at from a young persons perspective but will always scare an adult. Is that what you want adults to think? I still wear one though. But I have got glasses now and don’t bother to look like a ‘gangster’ so wear jeans that aren’t too baggy.
