How to Ask Someone on a Date
Never stumble, forget what you’re saying or stuff up when asking someone on a date ever again!
You brave brave wonderful person!
You’ve decided to do one of the scariest, hardest and most exhilarating things ever. I applaud you. Many people never even get to this stage, many people never grow the much needed balls to ask someone out on a date.
You are already a winner by my books. If you make that call, and you get rejected at least you know that you are a major champion for at least having the courage to just go for it.

Now that you have done the hardest part (gotten the courage, and believe me that is the hardest part) you need to actually do the deed.
Too many people make the mistake of asking someone on a ‘date’. Now a ‘date’ is very different to a date. A ‘date’ is a vague and wimpy way of testing the waters to see if the person will scoff at spending time with you.
A perfect example of asking someone on a date was what my friend Craig did the other day.
Craig: Hey Natalie, wanna come out this weekend?
Natalie: sure thing, want me to get my uni friends to come too? They had great fun the last time we all hung out.
Craig called me later that day and told me; I did it! I asked her on a date and she said yes. After the ‘date’ Craig called me to complain that he hadn’t had the chance to talk to her all night because all their friends were around.
Crucial mistake Craig, you asked Natalie out on a ‘date’, not a date. She didn’t even KNOW she was being asked out. As far as she was concerned you guys were going out as friends as you do almost every weekend!
So, here is the formula to asking someone out on a real life date.
Their name + the word date + where you’re going on the date + time.
Eg. Hey Natalie, want to go on a date to the aquarium this Friday? I was thinking 3pm.

This leaves no room for confusion, makes you seem confident and makes it far more likely she (or he) will say yes. There is no room for;
C: Hey want to go out?
N: where to?
C: A restaurant
N: as a date you mean?
C: oh uh yeah, if you want
N: um, sure I guess, when?
C: oh I don’t know, whenever you want
N: I don’t mind
etc.
Following the formula gets you straight to the point and within 3 seconds you should know if you’re going on a date or no.
Happy dating!
