How to Deal with Teenage Stress

All teenagers have been there. Stressed over exams, body appearance, peer pressure, arguments at home, or combinations of all of these. I am a teenager, and at one point or another I have felt stressed over all these issues.

To avoid getting stressed over exams try to talk to your teachers or family on how they feel you can do best in the particular exam. Always try to have an early night before an exam, if you don’t you are more likely to feel tired in the exam and not perform as well. Make sure you find out what you have to revise and remember to still have time to yourself to relax.

To avoid getting caught up in the whole body appearance web try not look for the bad points about your body look for the good points. Just because celebrities are size zero doesn’t mean you have to be. Just enjoy living your life and be comfortable with your body, you would be surprised how many people like to go out with someone for there personality not there looks.

Now to avoid peer pressure you first need to set some rules for yourself of what you feel comfortable with at your age. Another thing you need to do is remember true friend’s wont want to try change who you are or what you do they will like you for who you are, so don’t do things you don’t want to do just to fit in. One of the best ways to deal with peer pressure is to just say no and say that you’re comfortable how you are.

If you wish to avoid arguments at home you need to remember you’re not always right and sometimes you need to compromise. Arguments at home can affect all things in your life so if you offend someone because of it just remember to explain why you felt like it to the person and say sorry most people will understand. If you feel like you’re going to offend someone just take some time out and maybe count to 10 or just sit in another room to think it over.

Oh and please remember whatever you feel like there is always a solution.
