Alright so you want a job to make some extra money around summer? There are a few things you will need to make this happen.

Things You Need:

  • A Work Permit (you can find one of these at your school, or just look it up on because it is different for some stats)
  • A calendar, so you can record important dates such as interviews and work schedules.
  • A nice shirt and pants for the interview, and working because you don’t want to look like you don’t care.
  • Be prepared to answer questions, and know what times you will be able to work.
  • Alright now for the job.
  1. There are many sites that have job searching things for kids all it takes is a simple search.
  2. Another thing is the classifieds ads in the newspaper they can have jobs from babysitting, dogsitting, to landscape work.
  3. Ask your friends! Your friends might have an idea for where they want to work and working with a friend could make your job that much more enjoyable.

The Interview

  1. Know what times you can work, your social security number, and all that other personal info, because you will need it for various forms.
  2. Be calm and wear something nice, the interviewer will understand your a kid, but try to be mature.

The Job

  1. Congratulations you got a job.
  2. Don’t be late and remember to check your schedule so you don’t have any conflicting dates.
  3. Don’t ask for a raise or complain about anything, because they could easily fill your spot in this job market.
