Well can you ask yourself have you ever spread a rumor or is it the other way around people spreading rumors about you. Be completely honest about the question I just asked you. If you answered yes or no on the question this essay is for you to read. My position on the topic rumors is that once I was the rumor spreader and now I am what the rumors are about. The stand that I want to make is that rumors either good or bad should be executed forever. It just pisses me off that I have to hear the most disturbing and hateful sayings said about my fellow peers and friends and even rumors about me. I think rumors or just talking behind someone’s back is absolutely horrid. If you are a spreader of rumors you need to learn to stop because just ask me and my friends why they hurt so much inside and out, it makes us feel horrible and you feel so accomplished with what your doing. That just means that you have no self confidence so that’s why you have to hurt other people. And eventually you will have a rumor spread about you and how will you feel, you will feel so incredibly horrible and shocked that someone did that to you. Then you ask your self what happened, then it comes to you and you say “oh yah I spread rumors about so and so” “oops” 0_o.

Some reasons could be that people feel good that they are being cruel and demented to other people. The boys spread rumors about girls because they think it will attract the girls to them but yet it separates them even more. The girls on the other hand spread rumors about other girls because they feel insecure in their environment or themselves. The boys spread rumors about other boys because they want to see who can start a fight with who ever they want. I think one other reason could be is the boys and girls are wanting something they lack in there normal day to day life, so they have to ruin other peoples lives to feel that comfort. So there for they spread rumors like “he said that she did that to him.”

Some people think that rumors okay to spread. But in the other hand rumors are not okay. But right now the opposing view is to spread all the rumors you want with out getting caught by a teacher or fellow peers who’s the rumor is about. So in this case rumors can be good to the spreader, but if the spreader got caught they would be in deep trouble. But in one hand the rumor are okay things to do and in the other it is totally the wrong thing to do. Some rumors are really ok to do like for example:

“Eria got an A on her test yesterday”.

And others are not at all ok for example:

“So and so made out with this 20 year old and I saw it”

I can counter argue this point in many ways than one so here’s a couple

• They are very life destructing
• They can make people into people they don’t want to be
• They suck the life out of you

These are some reasons to counter act against rumors. The first reason is true because it can destroy you and other people’s lives. The second reason is also true because for me the rumors made me into a girly girl and I am actually a tom-boy. The third reason is really true cause once a rumor is started it can never be stopped sadly because no one knows where it came from.

Can you ask your self the same question over and over again if you can do this you can stop rumors.
