Teens: Want to Make a Certain Amount of Cash Every Week

Teens: Want to Make a Certain Amount of Cash Every Week

This is an article designed for kids and teens between 13-15 years old and it’s about doing a PAPER ROUND!! WARNING WARNING not for those fat lazy kids who sponge off their parents.

I always used to look around on the Internet for quick ways to make money and survey sites that paid, and eventually I gave up on that. Then I though about starting some sort of business on the eBay, but then lacked resources mainly due to my young age. Then I though about the good old fashioned ways like mowing lawns; which isn’t very useful when I don’t live in a small or quiet neighbourhood. A lemonade stand could have been very profitable but due to living on a busy main road, the risk of kids from school seeing me, then teasing me etc. ( I used to have a very bad friend who was ridiculously spoiled, selfish, stupid and fat and had a unlimited supply of cash from his parents and never lifting a finger to help with the house chores etc. And he used to say to me,

“What’s the point in having a job- just ask your mum.” And “Your parents money is your money.” Which is slightly true but you know what I mean. My parents didn’t really give me that much money.

Then I just got a Paper Round and it was the best financial decision I ever made, also learning the value of money, getting independence and responsibility and getting treated more as an adult.

The best thing about it is there’s not much to it. No working out profits and losses, or not making as much as last week etc.

They actually do pay quite well:

Morning Round: £10-15   Mon-Sat

Evening Round: £10-15   Mon-Sat

Sunday Round: £5-7

As you can see if you do all three rounds, which does take a lot of discipline and physical fitness you can earn a lot.

I only used to do a Morning and Sunday round and used to get £22. And the round was quite quick and easy. My friend also did one which made it  a lot more fun.

Within a year I bought:

  • A powerful custom made computer with a 20″ HD monitor
  • 17″ Flat Screen TV with Freeview and a DVD Player
  • A PSP slim
  • Nintendo DS
  • XBOX 360
  • iPod Nano 4th GEN
  • Lots of clothes and trainers and other stuff!!

And the money just piles up so quick without even realising!!

Thanks For Reading ;)
