Babysitting. An easy way to make money. Watching kids and sitting on your butt watching tv. Although babysitting does have some rules that you really need to ask about.

Rule #1—–Telephone calls
When babysitting, the house phone may ring. Make sure you write down the phone numbers and write down who it was and make sure you get the parents numbers, so you know if they call

Rule #2—–People coming over/people working on the house
The parent should tell you if someone is coming over to fix the plumping or whatever, if not, you should always ask so you know when someone comes to the door, if their supposed to be there or not. A lot of kidnappings happen when the baby sitter lets someone in the house that looks harmless but is an actual predator.

Rule #3—-Emergency Numbers
There should always be a list of numbers on the fridge or on the counter or table in case of emergencies. If there is no emergency numbers, make sure you get them from the parent or if any emergency happens, call 911.

Rule #4—-Feeding
Before you come over the children should have already eaten dinner. If you are baby sitting an infant make sure there are bottles in the fridge, so in case he or she wakes up and is hungry. Little kids should not have sugar after 8:00PM, you don’t want them to be hyper when they go to bed.

Rule #5—-Children going to bed
Sometimes putting the children to bed is difficult. Reading them a book or singing them a lullaby till they are sleepy and falling asleep. Sometime it takes a little time for them to fall asleep, but it should work.

Rule#6—-Movies before bed
If a child is going to watch a movie before they go to bed, it should be a movie like Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc. anything kid oriented. Scary movies are a horrible thing to watch before the kids go to bed. They will have nightmares and will be too scared to fall asleep.

Rule #7—-Snacks before bed
Snacks before bed is a horrible idea, unless the parents say its ok for them to have one thing before bed. But, you always have to make sure.
