Tweens Self Esteem
Girls and boys growing from the arkward ages between 10 through 16.
Girls and boys growing up between the ages around 10 through 16 sometimes seems to have low self esteem and needs that extra attention and help to keep them focus on being young adults. We can keep so many young girls and boys between that age group to feel good about themselves and we would have less youth in our juvenile and now adult detention centers. They have to feel they are important and they have a contribution to our future and they will have to overcome the ark ward feelings and sometime poor judgement.
Friends – something young youth between the ages of 10 – 16 is to form a friendship group with young positive kids that have the same values and can commit to being a positive and fun loving friend that can help each other through out the days that are not as easy to get through.
Exercise- have a fun recreation that you can plan with your family or friend and have a schedule time each week to work out learn a sport; there are so many different recreations available through out the communities. This is a great way to get your body in shape and learn a valuable lesson to use all through your life. Check out the YMCA or other youth groups in your community or start ones with girls scouts for example.
Body Image – Your image is very important now at this stage in your life so what you want to remember is good hygiene, make sure you be refresh each day with clean clothes, hair comb and always remember to have a positive and good outlook about your day and most likely your day will be a positive day, Use your manners at all times you never know when someone may want to help you with something you need and they will remember the times that they met you and your behavior was good. Use your fashion sense but don’t forget you represent your family and friends you may want to leave some of your creative ideas for special times.
Conversation - keep the lines of communications open, hopefully you can talk to one or both parents; if not find a guardian or family friend that have positive and legitimite goals in their own lives, they maybe able to help you understand the ideas and feelings that your body is going through. Talking is better than keeping things held inside you and then release it unproductive.
Families can create a family day where you and your family can do something special together example game night at home a family cooking or cleaning project, this can turn in to some family volunteering or growing a garden. Hopefully, your family will be happy to do something fun and entertaining for all the family members.
