What to NOT Talk About with Your Friends Parents
The top five things that you should never talk about or bring up with your friends parents.
Have you ever been with your friends parents and get that strange feeling that you shouldn’t have told them what you did. Well now you will know what you should not tell them! Take notes
and send to friends so they don’t have the same problem.
- Don’t bring up what your friend has bought at the mall/store. Most of the times their parents wouldn’t even care, but if they find out it was something stupid or high priced you might get your friend in trouble.
- Don’t ever give extreme details about what had happened while hanging out such as, what movie you saw or which theater you went to. Leave the fine detail telling to your friend. They will be very thankful. Some parents don’t want their children seeing certain movies or going to a certain place of town without them.
- (If your friend drives) Don’t tell their parents or your parents if they are a bad driver. If you feel that they will kill themselves or others then you should tell. But don’t bring up that they drive fast, cut people off, play the music too loud, etc… You should first tell your friend that you don’t like it when they drive that way, if they don’t change just don’t ride with them any more. Drive yourself or have your parents or another friend drive you. Also don’t tell their parents if they got a ticket, leave it up to them.
- Don’t ever bring up Facebook or Myspace! Some parents don’t even know that their child has one. What happens online stays online (unless it causes harm to yourself or others).
- Don’t bring up your friend’s personal info. Their parents should know most of it any way but they don’t need to be reminded about it or told something that they didn’t know. If it is life threatening they maybe you should.
