It is now the year 2009 and as time goes by the meaning of style has changed. Through out my teen years it has always been about who looks the best. If American Eagle or Baby Phat is the trend EVERYONE wears it. You wouldn’t look right if you tried to be different. Well I think  that it has changed, i now see teenagers diggin there own fashion trends. Whether is were knee socks to school, pink shoes, or green pants etc. I now see everyone getting personal with expressing how they feel with there clothes.

The popular trend is EMO, wearing the bright colors with the funky hairstyles. Most people were the straight legged jeans with a studded belt. the different color all stars and  most have pierced faces. i love this style, i thing its a cool way to express your self emotionally.

Next is the hip hop style. Young rebellious teens use music to show  the trend in this section. Girls go for the sexy style in hip hop this year, guys in this department go for baggy jeans and white t- shirts. The big hoop earring’s and the latest Jordan’s are important.

The preppy style is hanging in there. American Eagle, holister and J. crew are mostly brought out. the skirts with the snow boots are the most popular. For prep, it can be brought out in many ways, from the classic looks to the wild color fun trends. Try some old Navy flip flops, brown Capri’s and a colorful holister shirt, one of my common rep styles.

Gothic is a trend most teens in high school show. Goth has many around for many years but its becoming more of a trend then just being known as wearing black clothes.  Yeah you can put on black eyeliner, dye your hair black etc. but make your face whiter then that’s hot. Were the high chunky shoes, cover your self  in metal…your a true goth.

There’s also the jock trend. At school i see people wearing basketball shorts all the time. Teens rock there favorite jerseys or where the teams sweatshirts. Or they would were their sport uniforms to school. maybe even just carrying around a football all day.

There’s many other trends teens were, but in the future i thing fashion going to be way different.
