Yukata
Yukata is a traditional Japanese garment. You can learn about the yukata in my new article.
The yukata is a summer garment usually made of cotton. Yukatas are worn most of the time at summer festivals and firework showings. Like the kimono it has long sleeves and has a uncanny resembles to a kimono. It is traditional with yukatas that the younger the person the brighter the color and bolder the pattern whether they be a boy or girl. Theres not that many differences between a male and female yukata. The only real difference is the obi has more of a ribbon shape on a girl’s kimono and boy’s obi’s look more like a strap.
The man’s yukata obi has more of a strap/belt look.

The women’s yukata has more of a ribbon look to it.
Here are two pictures of a male and female yukatas as you can see younger the person lighter the color. Yukatas have seen a revival in the past years they are very popular right now. I hope you enjoyed my short article on the yukata.
