Consider This Guide, Before Buying a New Vehicle

Before you purchase a new car/truck, make sure that vehicle is the right one for your need.

Are you in a market to buy a new car? With the Cash for Clunkers program in effect, many people are taking advantage of all the help that they can get in this economy. Before diving in to purchase a vehicle, you should decide on what type of transportation your family need.

Understanding Car Types

Station Wagon-has four doors and a hatchback, which makes a great car for family
SUV-has the similar look of a station wagon, but it offers the off-road capabilities as well as a higher point of view.
Minivan-gives you storage space, 7 passengers options, and have a high safety rating.
Sedan-This is best for your money, and still gives you room to carry passengers.
Crossover-This is a combo of SUV, station wagon, and sedan, which gives you the feel of the car, storage of an SUV, and fuel economy.

Questions to Consider

1. What is safety rating regarding the car you want?
2. How many people do you usually have in the car?
3. What do you use the car for?
4. What do you need the vehicle to handle?
5. Do you want to buy a new car or used car?
6. How long do you plan on keeping the car?

Great tips!! I’ve always told my brother it’s not about the engine size, because you can’t use a 200 miles per hour car…unless your in Germany. It’s one of our biggest fights, he has a V8 transam and i have a V6 camaro lol

Good list to know when considering buying a new or used car. There is a lot to remember. We just bought one for economical reasons — not a gas guzzler.
