For 2009 the DuPont Registry’s list of favorite cars was very interesting. The best bag for the buck car was the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 and the best performance sedan was the Bentley Continental Flying Spur. The list price of the Corvette is over $100,000 US and the Flying Spur’s price tag will rise to over $200,000 US.

Dwarfing the price tag of both these two cars is the price of DuPont Registry’s best car of 2009, the Bugatti Veyron Gran Sport. At 2.1 million dollars US, this is very expensive and is in a class of its own. If i were to of had any say in the choices the Veyron would have been my favorite. It is the perfect blend of style, comfort, engineering, speed, and power. Also, because of the huge price tag’s of most of their cars, the total value of their choices went up by over $2 million US and the same thing can be said about the total horsepower. 

I have always been a huge fan the magazine and I respect, and agree with their choices in best cars of 2009. I can not wait to find out what they will have in store for 2010.
