Lamborghini

Lamborghini

The history of Lamborghini.

Italy- great pastas, wines, and sport cars. In this case, my dream car, Lamborghini. I am not picky. I love all the models and designs.

Before I discuss more about the sport cars, let us look behind the brilliant creator, Mr. Ferruccio Lamborghini. Mr. Lamborghini was borned on April 28, 1916 to a grape farmers in a small Italian village, Romagna. He was an industrialist who worked on engines during WWII. After the war, he built tractors and founded Lamborghini Trattori. He shared the same interest as me, sports cars. He owned Alfa Romeos , Lancias,  Mercedes-Benz 300SL, a Jaguar E-Type coupé, and two Maserati 3500GTs. In the early 1960’s, he bought a  Ferrari 250GT. He was displeased with their poor engineerings and customer service that he decided to open his own line of the finest sport cars (in my opinion).

The first production, Lamborghini 350 GT went on sale in 1964 (image by exoticcars.about.com). Every Lamborghini is built with “all-wheel drive”- a drive system where power is sent from the drive shaft to all four wheels. They have special racing tires, brakes, and suspension systems. In 2006, ceramic brakes were added. The brakes were described as a system of clay brakes that work better than standard brakes for better control.

2005 V10 Gallardo is an entry-level Lamborghini. How fast? 0 to 62 miles per hour in just 4.2 seconds. They are so fast that in Italy, the Lamborghini is used to take transplant organs to hospital

The famous Lamborghini logo. Lamborghini is often called the ‘House of the Bull’. Most Lamborghinis are named after famous Spanish fighting bulls. Mr. Lamborghini sold off many of his interests by the late 1970s. He is retired in Perugia, where he pursued winemaking.

I love the Murcielago. If I could get a hand on the lottery jackpot, I will have one and start up my own line of self-designed cars. Great post kabayan.

Writing an article is a challenge for me. I prefer poetry since I can play with words. However I do love to own a Lamborghini and at this time, since I cannot afford one, I decided to write about it. Thank you for your comments!

Cebuanaeyez…you can also put me in the category of a “wannabe” Lamborgini owner…but to be honest, it is so far out of reach that I can’t even dream about it!!! Tremendously well researched and well written article. Now, off to find some of your poetry…Thanks.
