  • The fastest car in the world is the SSC Ultimate Aero. Created by American brand Shelby SuperCars, it can go from 0-60 mph in just 2.7 seconds. With a 1183 V8 engine, the SSC Ultimate Aero is the fastest car in the world, with a top speed of 257 mph and sells for $654,400!

  • Second is France’s Bugatti Veyron. Introduced to the market by French brand Bugatti, it is the most expensive car in the market selling for $1,700,000! It reaches 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds and has a top speed of 253 mph. Only 349 units were sold, no wonder its so expensive.

  • In third is the Saleen S7 Twin-Turbo. The Saleen is a limited edition car made by a handful of different companies- Saleen, Hidden Creek Industries, Phil Frank Design, and Ray Mallock Ltd. It has a top speed of 248 mph and can go from 0-60 mph in just 3.2 seconds! It has a price of $555,000.

  • Fourth is the Koenigsegg CCX. Produced by Swedish car company Koenigsegg, it ranks fourth in our top 5 list of the fastest cars today. Going from 0-60 mph in 3.2 seconds, the Koenigsegg CCX as a top speed of 245 mph, but it comes at a hefty price of $545,568!

  • Last but not least is the McLaren F1. Designed and manufactured by Gordon Murray, the hits speeds of 240 mph, and goes from 0-60 mph in 3.2 seconds! Not many were sold, they sell for $970,000 a piece! It has a top speed of 248 mph and can go from 0-60 mph in just 3.2 seconds!
