Michael’s iconic red and black leather Sergio Valente jacket soon filled clothing racks in every major department store and quickly sold-out.

    In the 1980s, Michael Jackson’s hit song and music video “Thriller” inspired a new dance and fantastically wild fashion trends, just at a time when every Jackson fan wanted to imitate Michael’s moves, voice and fashion. Halloween nights in the mid-80s were crawling with all kinds of ghouls and gobbles, zombies and Michael Jackson look-a-likes. In 1984, Michael Jackson teamed up with toy manufacturer ERTL to produce a phonograph record player baring the pop star’s boyish image. This record player was something special, because it was equipped with a real microphone that enabled users to sing-along with their favorite Michael Jackson songs. So kiddos, you parents throwing karaoke parties, while you were still a twinkle in your father’s eye.
