Stamp collecting is a hobby that is enjoyed worldwide. I have a small collection of about 1500 stamps but, its enough and, through that, I learned much of the history of canada from that. 

Steps to Start a Collection:

1. Decide what your stamps would be about. I recommend that you choose stamps from your country as they’re easier to get.

2. Buy a stock book, philatelic tongs, a stamp catalogue (you can get it at your local library) and a packet of stamps.

3. If your stamps are numbered, take the first pack of small stamps out of the packet and the first pack of large stamps out of the packet.

4. Find in your catalogue the very first stamp.

5. Place the in order.

If you are a beginner, you should buy used stamps.
