Tips for creating things and learning to let your imagination soar. Think outside the box and learn some great techniques to create anything you want.

The first thing to remember about the arts and crafts hobby is to never throw anything away unless you absolutely can not think of anything that you can do with it. Another thing to remember is to try to keep a good patience and not go crazy because its to hard, or frustrating. I know from experience that you can always make something your own, be unique and don’t copy word for word what to do. Like if you were to find something in a magazine and not have the right utensils to make that particular object, then change it up. If you don’t have sequins but have rhinestones don’t give up on it as soon as you see that you don’t have that one thing, make it your own and use the rhinestones instead.

Rhinestones would actually be a good accent to a project. That way if someone says, did you make that, you can says yes and feel confident that you made it with your own uniqueness and came up with a new and original idea. Also try to let your imagination sour, and not just think of the simple stuff, make it more difficult, it’s a whole lot more fun when it takes a while and you can say dang I really made that, boy is that a good feeling. Did you Know that artists use their right side of their brain to make things? Regular people always use their left side to make logic and math and all that good stuff but isn’t it more fun to focus on fun stuff, and not technical stuff, boring. When people make stuff like pocket books for example they think of all the fabrics, ribbons, and all accessories before they decide on one thing.

Like they might see one thing they love and want to have so bad, but five minutes later they will have found something even better. Also plan stuff out before doing something, and if you mess up just try again you’ll eventually get it, and don’t be afraid to ask for help. Creativity makes you your own person, and remember that there will never be another you, even if you have a twine!

Ideas

  • You can make any accessory by taking up the hobby of Knitting. Like socks, sweaters, hats, shoes, ect.
  • You can always take something old and redo it instead of going out and buying another one.
  • You can take up scrap booking or card making.
  • You can even take up clay, you can get polymer clays and make any figurine, or bead and bake it in the oven for about 15 minutes for every quarter inch, and it will become hard so you can have it forever. Read back of package for exact directions.
