Beaded Creations
I made these projects over the summer with my grandmother, using plastic beads and fishing line.
3 Little Piggies

My grandma made the pearl pig to the far right and I used hers as a model to make the other ones. The eyes of the rainbow pig may be a little hard to see since I used white beads for the eyes instead of black.
Kitty Cat

On the inside of this kitty is a bell. It’s meant to be a keychain with the silver chain, but I just like to hang it around the house. The kitten is two sided so if you flip it around, you will see the exact same thing. The whiskers are made of the same fishing line at the whole cat.
Miniatures

Left to right- pink poodle, multi-colored bunny, puppy keychain
For these projects, I had to use thinner sting and smaller beads. They make great keychains.
Chinese Lotus Flower

My grandma made this flower with petal shaped pieces of plastic that had a hole for stringing. She assembled the pieces around a pearshaped bead and secured it all together with a base.
Pencil Holder

I made this with my grandma and the shoe is made out of two types of beads, round and flat. The flat beads are for the laces on the shoe. My grandma had an idea to put the little check mark on the side of the shoe to represent Nike.
Apple

The beads used to make this project where colored plastic beads with a pearl center. Plus, the leaf is not coming out from the middle of the apple, it’s coming out from the side of the apple, but that was the easiest way to make it. Almost look good enough to eat!
2-in-1

This tiny vase is supposed to be a pretty keychain but I put my hairpinin it, so now, they don’t go missing. You can also make these with different colors or with bigger beads for a real vase.

Such a happy article! I loved the things you and your grandma made…now I want to go do some ‘arts and crafts’ things, too!!
Maybe I should start getting ready for Halloween……..

What a neat article, and the pictures are great. I am not much of a craft person, but I do enjoy it when someone gives me one, or I buy one. Thanks for this piece. Janet Meyer
