Homemade Play Dough

Safe and non toxic.

Ingredients

  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 c. salt
  • 2 c. water
  • 4 Tbsp. cream of tartar
  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • food coloring of choice

 

Method

Mix all ingredients together and cook slowly over low heat until dough forms a ball, stirring constantly. Keep stored in an airtight container.

I’ve like this craft alot and think its very creative. I once baked a plaited wreth, after sticking some potpourri at one end, them painted it the same color of the potpourri. Lastly, I applied Clear vanish and till date the decoration hangs in my kitchen. Its a little delicate but easy and you can do lots more with it.I love the eyes on the star shaped faces…great for kids!
