How to Make a Grapevine Wreath with Fresh Marigolds
If you are looking for an easy fall decorating craft for your front door or to give as a gift, a grapevine wreath is elegant, earth-friendly, and inexpensive. The colors of the marigold flowers stay as sharp as the day you picked them. Your wreath will look as fresh on the day in September that you created it through the end of November when you change to your Christmas holiday wreath.

The colors of the marigold flowers stay as sharp as the day you picked them. Your wreath will look as fresh on the day in September that you created it through the end of November when you change to your Christmas holiday wreath.
Pick fresh marigolds from your flower bed or use purchased flowers with a three-inch stem. You can lay out the flowers as you snip onto a cookie sheet.
Cut a four-inch piece of very fine floral wire for every flower you intend to use. Cutting several pieces at once will make the work flow faster.
Place the flower stem against the grapevine and secure by twisting the floral wire around both the flower and vine section. Point the flower heads toward the front opening of the wreath. Continue this step until the entire wreath is covered or until you are satisfied with the look.
