Perky Finger Puppets
These finger puppets can help with creative playtime for your youngsters.
These are cuddly, no-sew characters that are easy to assemble quickly using felt and glue.
Things You Will Nee
- Ecru, yellow, pink, orange, tan, and brown felt pieces
- 5mm wiggle eyes
- Yellow feathers (1/2-oz. bag)
- Tracing paper
- Brown marker
- Craft glue
Finger Puppets
Duck
1. Trace dog body, puppet back, duck bill and wing patterns onto tracing paper; cut out. Use patterns to cut body, wing, and puppet back from yellow felt. Cut duck bill from orange felt.
2. Glue one feather to wrong side of head. Fold duck bill on fold line; use a dab of glue to secure. Arrange eyes, bill, and wings on front of duck; glue in place.
3. Fold puppet back at each fold line. Matching wrong sides, glue puppet back to body.
4. Glue a tail feather to back of puppet.
Dog
1. Trace dog body, ear, nose, tail, puppet back, and tummy patterns onto tracing paper; cut out Use patterns to cut body and puppet back from tan felt. Cut two ears, one nose, and one tail from brown felt. Cut tummy ecru felt.
2. Arrange tummy, nose, eyes, and ears on front of body; glue in place. Use brown marker to draw face and paw prints.
3. Fold puppet back at each fold line. Matching wrong sides, glue puppet back to body.
4.Glue tail to back of puppet.
Bear
1. Trace bear body, ear, paw, muzzle, tummy, and puppet back patterns onto tracing paper; cut out. Use patterns to cut bear body and puppet back from brown felt. Cut muzzle, tummy, and paws from tan felt. Cut two ears from pink felt.
2. Arrange ears, eyes, muzzle, paws and tummy on front of body; glue in place.
3. Use marker to draw face on muzzle.
4. Fold puppet back at each fold line. Matching wrong sides, glue puppet back to body.
