First of all everyone should remember that Halloween is supposed to be made up of scary things. Mo one is supposed to be portraying simple nice goodies. The kids who come to you door are supposed to have mastered their fear. That’s why you hand out a treat to them. It’s to reward them above defending yourself from any potential trick.

Most of the people who have a pumpkin out in front of their door are still lighting them up with a candle inside. This trick allows the scary face carved into the pumpkin to show farther down the road and attract more kids.
