LSD and Crystal Meth

LSD and Crystal Meth

Ever wonder what these drugs are? What they can do? And what you can do about them? Read on.

Drugs drugs drugs. They’re everywhere and it seems if you want to get your name across the “cool” population, you‘ve got take drugs. It’s tempting, and peer pressure can force to do virtually anything. For teens, being with the group and doing what your friends think is cool is everything. In the words of your buddies, drugs sound like something you can just take, feel good for a few hours, and everything would be back to normal. But what actually happens to you when you take drugs? Is it just like how your friends say it was? Or is it something else?

LSD is a very dangerous drug that can take you on “trips” that leave you feeling either sick, very energetic, or leave your relatives to grieve at your funeral. The most dangerous thing about LSD is that the effects of the trip are highly unpredictable. The after-effects of the trip are one thing. What happens during your trip is another story. Most people say that they see things, colours seem to intensify, and sense of gravity and balance is also altered. Just like alcohol, LSD impairs your judgement and therefore, accidents happen more often. Unlike alcohol, however, LSD may cause brain damage, and/or genetic disabilities which are fancy words for becoming insane. With all those effects that you probably won’t want to happen to you, the last thing you need is for a dangerous drug to be cheap and addictive. LSD is cheap and addictive. So a drug that’s cheap, easily gets you hooked, plus the fact that it has potentially fatal effects damages the minds of dozens upon dozens of teens every year.

Methamphetamines or Crystal Meth is another very common but also very dangerous drug. Instead of taking you on trips like LSD, crystal meth skips the “trip” part and almost immediately you can feel excessively anxious, confused, and a tendency to be violent. Long term effects can be extreme anorexia therefore causing excessive weight loss. Crystal meth is also very easy to make as all you need is the equivalent knowledge of high school chemistry. Meth labs have been found in rented apartment units, in cellars of privately owned houses, in the basement of old factories, everywhere. Because Crystal meth is so easy to make and earns you more than enough to pay off your rent, many teens and adults alike are making, buying, and trafficking Crystal Meth. Being constantly in the presence of a drug often leads to one taking the drug out of pressure or curiosity. But dealing with Crystal Meth is very dangerous. If you are under 18 years old and you get caught, you can get sentenced to 3 years in jail. If you’re over 18, a max punishment of lifetime in prison can be sentenced.

With either drugs, you can either get addicted and receive permanent marks on your personality and mental functionality, or possibly even die. On the other hand, if you get caught you can end up spending your life or three valuable years of your life in prison. If you happen to go down the road that leads you to prison, it will be very hard looking for a job as your illegal activities are recorded and will always stay with you, ultimately, you will have destroyed your life. Going through all that and ending up in a bad place just because you wanted to fit in is not worth it. If you need help, there’s help out there, much more than you’ll ever need. Going through teen years is like the wind, it get you to go in all different directions. Maybe you can’t control the wind, but you can always adjust the sails.

Oh Jesus Christ. LSD is addictive. First time in my LIFE I have ever heard that. And yes, LSD has killed people… Twice I believe. One guy tried to bang a whole vile of liquid into his arm. The other one I’m not sure of. That’s two cases compared to the thousands, perhaps millions of people who have died from alcohol and cigarettes. And by the way, what on god’s green earth makes you think alcohol can’t cause brain damage?!?!? Have you never heard of a “wet brain?”

Look, I’m all for educating people about drugs. But it’s websites like these that spout out grossly inaccurate information that makes kids take everything take nothing they say seriously when they hear people talk about the dangers of drugs. “they said it will do THIS to me and all it did was THAT?!?!? haha what an idiot, what does he know?”

I am in no way advocating drug use for anybody and I’d be the last person to try to get someone to take such a powerful drug as LSD. But I’ve tripped many times and I know my facts. What you’re doing… I’m not sure if you’re just ignorant or if you’re intentionally spreading false information just to scare people. Either way, if you REALLY want to warn people about drugs, then sites like this are completely counter-productive. If it’s ignorance, then I suggest you do just a tiny bit more research on the subject. If you’re intentionally lying, then what you’re doing is nothing less than unethical and you should be ashamed of yourself.
