Remembering DARE
Writing on the subject that the program DARE helps reduce the number of drug addicts.
The DARE program has been around for a long time and students should do their best to keep it going. It teaches you about things like tobacco, marijuana, and all of the bad items they contain.
The most important thing DARE teaches you is how to say NO. That’s important because later in life you will be in charge of your own decisions and your parents might not be there to help you. They teach you to say yes to what’s right and to say no to what you think is wrong. Let me ask you a question. Why would you ever want to do anything to your body that could hurt or even kill you?
If you ever have a hard time saying no to something bad just remember what you learned in DARE. Remember that there are many ways to say no, whether it’s just saying no, or giving the person a repeatedly refusal. You can avoid the situation, hang around nonusers, walk away, give them the cold shoulder, just say no, give them a reason or a fact, change the subject, repeatedly refusal, or use humor.
In conclusion, I believe that anyone that has ever done the DARE program should have no reason to do drugs or smoke after all that they’ve learned about the bad things in them. DARE should help the percentage of people doing drugs reduce. Remember, you don’t have the right to do drugs, but you do have the right to say NO.
