But aside from the traditional cuisine, many are also excited to try out these bizarre but tasty street foods:

Balut

Balut is probably the most famous bizarre food of the Philippines!

Fertilized duck egg boiled to perfection:

Manila is home to the best (and strangest) Filipino street foods:

Isaw or IUD – grilled chicken intestines (could also be from pig: Isaw Baboy)

Betamax – dried chicken blood, shaped into cubes and grilled

Adidas – grilled chicken feet

Helmet (chicken head)

Walkman (pig’s ears)

Day-old chick (deep-fried day-old chick)

Chicharon (could be pork or chicken skin/intestine, deep-fried)

 

Tokneneng/Kwek-Kwek (hard-boiled quail egg dipped in batter, deep-fried).

Taho ­– warm and sweet snack made from soybean curd, syrup, and tapioca mini-balls
