Food Packing Materials and Preservation
There are various forms of food packaging to help preserve our food stuffs and products. This article has it all discussed.
There is a broad spectrum of packing materials and these ranges from flexible to rigid substances. Examples of these materials are Leaves, Baskets, and Paper types, Glass, Metal, Plastic containers and even Ceramic.
LEAVES
Leaves are normally collected from trees. They are used in wrapping food like fermented oil bean seeds, Mellon and the like. They are sued after washing and drying, and the backside is normally used. And it gives the product nice design.
Leaves help the product to ferment nice taste and flavour required by the buyers. Some, the leaves serve as vegetable since they are eaten with the product. Example is termites wrapped with the vegetable leaves. This is mainly practiced as peoples’ culture or traditional style.
