Monster’s Mixxd Energy Drink contains 30% juice and 100% Monster.  Why the juice?  It tastes good, that’s why.  Just because you are drinking it for the extra energy buzz does not mean you shouldn’t enjoy the taste.   This drink has been out for several months. It is just now getting the attention it deserves.  While it is a great drink, this is the kind of drink that you either love or hate- no real in between.

The taste is almost indescribable.  The taste is a strange mixture and the taste of prune juice can almost be detected.  It almost tastes like Dr. Pepper without as much carbonation.  There is not as much carbonation as some of the other Monster varieties.  The color is purple.  It contains all the same energy ingredients (L-carnitine, guarana, inositol, B vitamins, ginseng, taurine and caffeine.)

There are 220 calories per 16 OZ can and 27 grams of sugar per 16 OZ can.  If you are looking for a diet drink, this isn’t it but if you are looking for a good energy drink and you don’t mind the extra calories and sugar, than give this one a try. This unique blend of energy goodness is worth a try. It generally costs $2.29 when not on sale, so you aren’t losing a ton of money if you decide you don’t like it.  Besides, even if you don’t like it, you will get an amazing buzz for hours after you’ve finished it and there are many varieties of Monters to choose from..Go ahead, treat yourself.  You are worth it.
