The Incredible Papaya
This fruit is so healthy, it is surprising that it has not been give more attention, found in homes of Mexicans and other hispanics; providing many vitamins and antioxidants.

Papaya is a very nutritional fruit, packed with lots of Vitamin C, along with Vitamin A., potassium and calcium. The flesh is rich in taste and load with carotenoids and antioxidants; all help support and our immune system. As a antioxidant papaya helps prevent cardiovascular disease, while the high fiber content helps to avoid colon in cancer, so when you look at his fruit you should really give it a try, besides be healthy many find it quite enjoyable to consume.

Papaya was first discovered in Southern Mexico and South America, through the ages it had been found in Hawaii as well. The papayas we see in the supermarkets are usually from Hawaii.
It has a yellow exterior with a bright orange inside, with black edible seeds inside. The black seeds seem to remind people, of a milder form of black pepper. The flesh of this fruit contains an enzyme that helps aid digestion, reduces inflammation of the joints and is used to add flavor to meat and other side dishes; this enzyme is called papain.

This fruit like cantaloupe, can be enjoyed in the same manner, just cut the papaya in half remove the seeds and enjoy. In Mexico, South America, Puerto Rico and other tropical islands, mothers and chefs will add papaya to their beans or their stews.

Papaya helps to brighten up a fruit salad, along with cantaloupe, watermelon and mango; combined these fruits will increase your vitamin c levels, and help to keep you hydrated. Perhaps that is why some of these fruit are grown in warm tropical areas.

I call it the angel’s fruit , it looks after me.I swear by it for my good health.
It is included in my daily diet as a fruit with a little lemon juice.

It looks good and is good, but too bad it doesn’t taste super good. Still worth to eat!
