Venus Between the Sheets – Making the Most of Love and Relationships: Part One

Venus Between the Sheets – Making the Most of Love and Relationships: Part One

How to use the position of Venus to enhance our love and relationships. What to beware of and what to make the most of.

In theory it is possible to enhance our daily lives if we manage to live in harmony with the planets. Proof that this is so, according to many, is that special “birthday feeling” caused when the Sun returns to the position it was in on the day we were born. Similarly, when the Mercury, Venus and Mars return to our natal positions we are supposed to feel their strongest effects too. Mercury returning gives additional clarity to thought; Venus returns with an increase in our appreciation of beauty and Mars with an increase in our energy levels. This is all very well, but what about the majority of the time when the planets are anywhere but these, their optimum position? This is what I want to outline here, taking Venus as my case study.

Venus in Aries

Venus is tired in Aries but tries to deny it as she’d hate anyone to think that they bored her. You may perceive a feeling similar to that of looking forward to a luxurious holiday. This might be a time for arguments between the feminine and masculine. Ideally a holiday with same sex groups should be taken. This is the best time for sexual abstinence – if there is such a thing. Be aware that opposites will annoy each other at this time and it doesn’t bode well for reasoned argument.

Venus in Taurus

Everyone should feel better when Venus enters Taurus. She’s at home and her home is about luxury, pampering, comfort, beauty and the Arts. It’s at this time that many people rediscover their love of music – you just have to play your music. Go with it! Go and look at Art, plan refurbishments. If you’ve ever fancied karaoke, now’s the time to get up on that stage and belt it out. Now is also the time to notice and take in natural beauty: stop and take in the landscape, seascape, the night’s sky, the city’s twinkling, vibey lights. Careful you don’t pit on two stone though as eating pleasures will definitely increase.

Venus in Gemini

If there’s ever a time to love yourself it’s when Venus visits Gemini. We’re all beautiful, amazing and able to exude delight and happiness. It may sound clichéd but this is the time to out the old and favour the new. Ideally a whole new wardrobe – now better than any other time this year you’ll be able to understand your style and what suits best – colour, cut and fabric.

Venus in Cancer

Venus doesn’t mind being here. Here her sentimentality is allowed to show through. I suspect many enjoy nights home alone with a sad movie and sobbing. Give in to this impulse if it comes your way; go with the flow. It is time to emphasise with partners – do those little things that put smiles on the faces of all those you love.

Venus in Leo

Get your hair cut! You may have meant to a couple of months ago when you bought the new clothes – but someone how (what with Venus in Cancer) you overlooked it. No doubt some of you will notice an increase in bad hair days but this is because your hair will look at its best at times during this time – bad hair days are a relative concept. Expect an upsurge in sexual urges that may have not upsurged since Venus was home in Taurus.

In Part Two I’ll assess Venus in Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn Aquarius and Pisces.
