Museum Collection of British Motorbikes From Norton to Triumph
The London Motorcycle Museum has a fantastic collection of Brit Bikes from Triumph to Norton and everything in between. Those who can’t visit in person can view the museum inventory, look at photograph and read about various motorcycles on the website.
The only motorcycle museum in London is the London Motorcycle Museum which is situated at Ravenor Farm, Greenford, London. It is a must for all serious bikers and anyone interested in motorbikes.

The collection is totally dedicated to British Bikes. There are more than 90 machines on permanent display and another 60 in reserve. New machines are being acquired and restored all the time, so keeping everything running smoothly is a full time job in itself.

1902 Ormonde Motorcycle
This is a place where the staff have a passion for bikes too, so they are more than happy to discuss them with the enthusiast and to tell their own biking stories.

1925 Beardmore Precision
The current collection includes a 1902 Ormonde, and a 1903 Clyde Bike. There are road bikes and racers which come from all British manufacturers, including some rare prototypes. There is also a more modern 1991 Norton Bike which is painted in paramedic colours.

1929 Triumph OHC Prototype
During the year certain bikes from the museum go on tour to exhibitions in various parts of the country, so the museum is not one of static exhibits. Most of these bikes are in good mechanical order and can be seen, running at various exhibitions.

1965 P1 Triumph Triple Prototype
The 2008 inventory of exhibits is available to view here: London Motorbike Museum and includes bikes manufacture between 1902 to 1992.
The latest additions to the collection are a 1939 Sunbeam B24S and a 1925 Scott Flying Squirrel.

Exhibits inside the Museum
There is also an excellent collection of English police motorbikes on display at the museum and at different venues throughout the year. Pictures of these can be seen on the website.

Exhibition of racing motorcycles.
This museum is unusual and certainly worth a visit if you are motorbike enthusiast, or even just have an interest in them. Those who cannot visit in person can view lots of photographs and information at the website.

What a great article on bikes. My father has two motorcycles, a Harley Davidson and a Kawasaki. I think he would love to read this.

Nice collection of bikes, Louie. Did you know the Wright brothers built and repaired bikes?

Not a bike fan, but I found this really interesting. I never knew the museum existed.
