What you will need:

• Scissors- to cut the plastic
• A two-litter Soda Bottle- the base of the trap
• An tinsel to poke a hole- To poke a hole
• And some heavy duty tape- To tape it.
• Rope- to tie it to something

First measure four inches from the top. Cut around that area to make a “funnel”.  Next flip the funnel so the small opening is facing the bottom of the bottle.  Tape heavily.  Next poke a hole in the bottom of the bottle and on the two sides to tie the rope to so it doesn’t move. Make sure the holes aren’t big enough for the bait to go through. This can also be a crayfish trap. I recommend bait for crayfish is an inch of hot dog and for fish a piece of old or stale bread. (the fish won’t mind).  Finally take it to your local stream. Tie the rope to something and set the trap by putting the funnel part to the current. Come back in 3 days to check it.

How it works. A fish swims into the hole and being somewhat dumb can’t find a way out.
