A Halloween party means fun , no matter what age you are. This is the time to get wild and enjoy the night. Here are some fun games that reflect this scary but entertaining holiday.

  1. Bowling For Bones. Using a child’s bowling set, tape various paper bones on the pins. You can have arm bones, leg bones, spinal column , rib cage, pelvis and skull. Assign points to these. (such as 2 points to the arms, 3 points to the legs , 10 points to the skull, etc). You can also have the balls resemble pumpkins by drawing on pumpkin faces , using washable black magic marker. Have a prize for the one with the most or least points.
  2. Pumpkin decorating. Amp this childhood classic up a notch by providing glitter pens along with felt cut outs, beads, sequins, you name it. You can have contests for celebrity look alike pumpkins, scariest, funniest or better yet, design outfits for your pumpkins and have your own All Hallow’s version of Project Runway.
  3. Body Hunt .This is like treasure hunt but you have to find body parts out in the house and in your yard. You can buy hands, feet, severed limbs, various bones and skulls at your local party store. Write up ghoulish or witty clues at each one that will lead your guests to the next search. Whoever finds the most clues wins a prize.
  4. Guess That Goo! You can have real fun with this. Put all sorts of gooey and squishy things in bowls and ask blindfolded guests to feel them. Then ask what that goo is. The ones with the most creative answers get prizes. You can have fun making all sorts of things from using soaked sponges as “lungs” to cooked pasta as “baby snakes”.
  5. Name That Ghost. This is kind of like “charades” and “Pictionary” with teams figuring out famous ghosts. Divide your guests into teams of three or four. Then hand the team leader a name of the ghost. The others have to ask questions like “What year did you die? “ Were you assassinated? “Where or when do you haunt?” You can find all info on Google about famous ghosts.
