Birthday parties are so common and typical, they’re obviously expected. So when you’re wondering what to do for your friend or family members birthday, a surprise party is the first thing that comes to your mind. Well, ditch that idea and try out something new! Here are some ideas to give your beloved a great birthday expereince:

1. The day before his/her birthday buy somethings that your friend/family member  like. It doesn’t have to be something big- buy lots of little things. e.g for a teenage girl, you could get a bag, a top, maybe a mug, a music CD and etc. Take your gifts and any other and put them all in a big box. Then get all of the birthday boy/girl’s family and friends to write little notes on what they like and appreciate about him/her. Put all the gifts and notes in a box. The next morning wake up the birthday boy/girl and surprise him/her with the Box of Gifts and breakfast in bed!

2. In the afternoon, take you beloved to a restaurant which you know they like and take the cake along for desert. After all the eating is done turn on the music and dance- no one’s gonna be expecting that! Arrange this with the restaurant before hand though.

3. To end the perfect, something calming would be good. A homemade candle- lit dinner is wonderfully romantic idea for couples. Even families can enjoy a nice dinner at home, with pop-corn and a family movie afterwards.

However, to maintain the element of surprise , make sure that your birthday boy/girl does not know about any of the plans. A good idea would be to lay some decoys- pretend that you are planning a surprise party so that the special person expects a birthday party but gets something totally unexpected!!
