Seven Totally Bizarre and God-Awful Side Effects of Drinking
Every once in a while you like to go out for a drink, but then you wake up in the morning and it hits you like a ton of bricks.
Every once in a while you like to go out and have a good time. You have a nice dinner and then you hit the dancing scene and you have a couple drinks and then a couple more and a couple more etc. It’s all fun and everyone’s enjoying themselves and your feeling good, not a care in the world but then you wake up the morning after and it hits you like a ton of bricks…a hangover. You’re tired, fatigued, nauseous, forgetfulness, your body aches all over and you’ve got the best damn headache in the whole wide world! That’s when you realize the awful truth, that hangovers are a lot worse then anything you have heard your friends complain about with its painful affects and some of the bizarre situations or conditions you find yourself in. Down below is a list of 7 bizarre and awful examples of drinking and why you should NEVER do it, or at least, not too much.
The headache
Sliding in at number one, if you drink then you will most definitely feel this tormentor! The minute you awaken the headache is there, alive and pounding. This little bugger gets first place because it’s the first thing you feel and it will keep you down and out!

Location
Making the number two spot, just how many times after a night of boozing have you woken up and thought to yourself, hey, how the hell did I get up here? If you love to drink then you most definitely have awoken the morning after in some pretty bizarre places…or positions.

Memory loss
Those annoying memory lapses. No-matter how hard you try and think, you just can’t remember what you did or who you did it with. This can get you into some serious trouble. If you slept with the boss’s daughter, it might be a good thing to remember, or worse, what if you got so drunk you decided to leave your boss a stinging letter letting him know what you really think of him.

Booze and sex
Here’s one that more than a few of you can relate to; you wake up in bed with someone you never would have jumped in bed with had you been sober. You know what they say, drinking makes strange bed mates. Besides it’s common knowledge that everyone looks good after a few drinks. Your place or mine? ^_^

Nauseousness
You tried to stand but everything turns upside down! One look and every and anyone knows you’ve got a hangover. At the mere mention of food you’ll empty was left of your stomach contents. Then without warning it attacks! You puke and puke until there’s nothing left but dry heaves. Aaah, something every drinker looks forward to.

Fatigue
Ugh! Fatigue can be down right draining. Your body feels like it’s ran a marathon all while under the influence of the flu. You’ve got aches and pains all over and worse, you have no energy. You feel just like shit! Sounds familiar, doesn’t it?

Cotton mouth
It may be last, but certainly not least is the awful dry mouth. In fact, your mouth is so dry that most describe it as cotton mouth. You open your mouth and stick your tongue in and out as if to get the saliva flowing because it’s just so dry and feels as if someone stuffed your mouth with cotton balls. Yuck! Been there, haven’t you?

There you have it, seven bizarre and awful examples of drinking and why it may not be for you, but who am I to judge, really. Bottoms up!

Good articule, though the best way to stave off most of the seven you list is not to sober up.

These are just a few reasons that I quit drinking a few years ago. A few weeks ago, I thought that a couple drinks would be good. It was a reminder which will always stick with me. Drinking does nothing good for me. I swear, it only worsens the situation. I think that I am allergic to the stuff. Am I the only one that it effects this bad? Very good article. It is poison….

I hear you on this one. Alcohol can be very destructive but too much fun at the same time. I have had my share of bad nights.

Yep. That pretty much sums up a lot of good reasons to not drink. I know what it feels like-except for the memory lapses-never had those before. But I now stay away for my own good.

Oh Debra. That is so funny. I have just come back from a knees up with the W.I. group. I have had a lovely dinner and several glasses of wine and champagne. I feel very happy at the moment. I am dreading tomorrow after reading this. Great work as usual. I love the photos.
