Ed Mcmahon
There’s more to him than just “Here’s Johnny”.
Ed McMahon died last week after long time illness. He was best known for the work he did on Johnny Carson. He worked for Johnny Carson from 1962 to 1992. Beyond that he also was a big part in the MDA telethon for over 40 years. He was also the man who hosted star search for 1983 to 1995.
On June 23, 2009 we lost a good man. He got a bad rep in the end due to a bail-out by Donald Trump. The bail-out was a big thing where people said he was friviously spending money on whatever. A lot of his money was going to the medical bills. Everyone goes to the hospital or doctor knows just how quick money disappears.
The thing that i hated the most is that when he died all of the articles that were posted everywhere did mention his 30 years as the sidekick of Johnny Carson, but none seemed to want to mention the work he did for MDA, Shriner’s Children’s Hospital, Disabled Veterans Business Alliance, as well as having hosted many charity Golf Tournaments.
All-in-all Ed McMahon was an excellent person who was very giving of himself. He is a hero to all the children and adults whose lives have been touched by the work he has done for the many charitable organizations he was a part of.
