A short Bio on the author Thomas Perry.

Thomas Perry is a well accomplished mystery novel author.  Perry was born in Tonawanda, which is in the western part of New York in 1947.  Thomas Perry attended Cornell University where he received his Bachelor of Arts in 1969.  After Cornell Perry attended the University of Rochester where he received his English Literature PhD in 1974.  Thomas  has had several different jobs in his time.  He has worked in a factory, a maintenance man at a park, and he has taught at a university.  Currently Thomas Perry lives with his two daughters and his wife in Southern California.

Thomas Perry is responsible for writing seventeen mystery novels.  Six of his novels belong to the Jane Whitefield series.  The first novel of this series is vanishing Act, the following year came the next book of the series, Dance For The Dead.  Perry produced one book a year for the next three years, Shadow Woman, The Face-Changers, and Bloody Money.  The last book of the series, Runner, did not come until ten years later, in 2009.  Runner is also the last novel that Thomas Perry has had published.

Perry has had several accomplishments as an author to be proud of.  Perry’s novel Metzger’s Dog earned a title as Notable Book of The Year from The New York Times in 1984.  He was also the recipient of an Edgar Award for his novel The Butcher’s Boy in 1983.  He was given a Gumshoe Award by Mystery Ink for his novel, Pursuit, in 2002 as well.
