Talking about the footprints, most experienced shop holders likes to do the wet

test so to know the footprints resulting to give you best comfort.Footprints are

divided into three main groups:

1)Normal Foot: A normal foot lands on the outside of the heel and rolls

inwards slightly to absorb shock. It’s the foot of a runner who is

bio mechanically efficient and therefore doesn’t need a motion control shoe.

Best shoes: Stability shoes with moderate control features.

2)High Arched Foot: This print either shows a very narrow band or no band

between the forefoot and the heel. This kind of feet are not usually an effective

shock absorber
.
Best shoes type: neutral or cushioned shoes with plenty of flexibility.stability

shoes and motion control types of shoes should be avoided.

3)Flat Foot:These kind of foot has low arch and makes the print of whole sole

of the shoe. These are mostly one that strikes on the outside of the heel and

rolls inwards excessively.

Best Shoes: Stability or Motion controlled shoes with firm midsoles and

control features that reduce the degree of pronation. Say no to highly curved

or cushioned shoes.

Putting a straight foot in a curved lasted shoe can cause excessive wear and

a decrease in the control and support provided by the shoe.

At the heel of the shoe, find the “heel counter”. This is a stiff cup sewn into

the back of the shoe to promote heel stability. Try to squeeze this cup into

the shoe. It should be very stiff and not bend over.

Make sure you try on both shoes in the pair and give them a “test drive” on a

hard surface, not a carpeted floor.

Try on athletic shoes at the end of the day when your foot may be slightly

swollen. This will guarantee that the shoe fits well during physical activity

when lots of blood flows to the feet.

Jogging shoes can be used for walking, but walking shoes should not  be

used for jogging. Cross-training shoes work well if you’re doing a variety of

activities.

So next time when you go purchase a new pair of shoes always think of Comfort first by chosing the right type of footprint shoe.

Having bought three new pairs of shoes for the winter, all sensible shoes, I am not finding any of them as comfortable as I thought they were when I bought them. This article should be really helpful in future. Thank you.
