Boys of The 21st Century

Boys of The 21st Century

The 21st century completely changed the sense of fashion. Instead of the short hair with long ponytails, boys now opt for the “beach” look instead. Here I am going to discuss some of the types of “styles” the young teenage boys adopt.

The “Yo” boys

Clothing: Baggy jeans/ pajamas, Baggy Shirts and hoods. Anything 2pac wears, they wear.

Characteristics: These types of boys are the most interesting of all. They roll in gangs, with usually a pistol or dagger with them. The gang names are usually very creative, like “Banana Street”to”killer boys. They are at their peak from the shocking age of 16-20 years. From gun handling to buying ammunition and drug trading, they can do it all.

Found in: Mostly South and North America, with some pockets in Canada and Asia. Mostly concentrated in New York and LA.

The “My dad is health minister” boys

Clothing: Gucci, Emporium Armani, Calvin Klein, Levi’s…anything with a big price tag. Usually try to speak in the “British” ascent, although they may be Asians.

Characteristics: The most popular boys in school, because of money, not character. Usually found flirting with girls (perhaps trying to get a girlfriend). Recognizable by their huge, fat stomachs (Side-effect of chocolates and PS-2). Easy to find: Either in a very rich restaurant, or the most expensive car on the street.

Found in: Almost all over the world, but the majority is in the developed countries, like Britain.

The “We’ll kill you” boys

Clothing: Open shirts, to expose the chest hair. The rough and tough “Gujjar” look. (Gujjar: A word used for gangsters in the subcontinent)

Characteristics: These boys only drive very expensive jeeps like a Prado or Land Cruiser because their fathers are usually very rich or involved in the “underground” business. They are a major threat to the “Yo” boys. You can recognize them by a large “MOM SAYS AVOID GIRLS” sticker behind their cruisers.

Found in: The subcontinent, mostly Punjab and Gujarat.

The “Goth” boys

Clothing: Dark clothes, VERY dark, with black eye make-up and very long, untidy hair.

Characteristics: These boys are a disgrace to men in general. With hair styles longer than the feminine Goth, they will use Gel very often. They are very strict followers of their culture, at least outside their homes, because the most respectable statement they can get at home is similar to this one: “What the Hell!? You’re a Man, not a Monkey!”

Found in: Any place that is dark and creepy, possibly a graveyard.

The Band boys

Clothing: The average jeans, shirt, sandals and jockey underwear.

Characteristics: These boys are very common. They are the ones who have failed in life, and now dream of becoming a famous singer.

Found in: Almost everywhere. Bathrooms, classrooms, streets etc. A lot of failures in the world, don’t you think?

The “Flirt” boys

Clothing: Anything which a girl would fall for, possibly like the “Yo” boys.

Characteristics: These boys are very interesting. They would go to the extent of walking naked in the streets if that gets them a girl. They will smoke if girls like it. They are the side-effects of Co-education. These boys are highly focused. It might take them years to perfect, but they have an image to make and protect.

Found in: Night clubs, restaurants (on dates) and Co-education schools. Sometimes trying to sneak into the girls’ locker room!
