Apple Product Series: 2dd Generation iPod Touch and iPhone
This is a review of a personal experience with both the 2nd generation iPod Touch (also known as the iTouch) and the 1st iPhone. It lists the pros and cons and leaves the reader with the opportunity to develop his or her own opinion about the products.
If you are familiar with the Apple dynasty, you are most certainly familiar with products such as the iPod series, the Mac computer, and the Macbook laptops. Many people are skeptical as to the quality of these products and have no clue as to how life changing they can potentially be. This common view of the Apple Company is set in stone until the consumer is able to individually experience the products.
This article focuses on the multiple uses of the iPhone and the 2nd generation iPod touch, released by Apple at the end of last year.
The 2nd generation iPod touch is simply an amazing and affordable product compared to its predecessor, the 1st generation iPod touch. It can be used for small business transactions in addition to various forms of entertainment. Its versatile nature is the obvious reason for its overall success in the marketplace of mp3 and mp4 players. Because you are allowed to download 3rd party and 2nd party applications through your iPod, it is easy to find applications that suit you completely. You can use it to order pizza on the go, pay bills, and access your savings and checking accounts almost immediately. Every major business or social networking site such as Bank of America, Twitter, or Facebook has a free and easily accessible application.
On the downside, the iPod touch can only access a majority of these applications if there is a viable wireless connection. Contrarily, with the iPhone, it is easy to complete these simple tasks with the added bonus of a calling feature. The battery life of the iPod touch only lasts a few hours if you are connected to Wi-Fi, but if you are just watching a full-length movie or playing a game, the battery life is usually extended. Both products feature an amazing and multitouch user interface that excites all customers. The Safari web browser on both products allows for quick transitioning from website to website and the windows stay up when you press the home button to move on to another applications.
Most of the applications save your data (such as a recent pizza or Starbucks order) and allow you to reorder the same thing at a later date.
The brilliant, personal assistant nature of the products allow for an experience that is simply unique to each user. Not only can you control the sound levels and contrast of the screen and speakers, which are built in the both products, but you can also adjust the settings for your wireless connection, music, videos, and contacts.
The downside to both products is the forced nature of the aspects of the Apple Company. You have to manually connect to a computer or laptop to control or edit your music and videos. Conveniently, most applications can be deleted or edited using the handset of the iPod touch or the iPhone. This allows for a quick readjustment of any problems that may arise while using the devices. The original Apple iPhone lacks a blue tooth compatible system and may overload from the amount of data on the system as the integrated memory is not of the highest caliber. As you can see, there are more pros than cons when it comes to these two Apple products.
No matter what reviews tell you, the experience of each product is simply unique to its user. iPhone and iPod touches are very versatile and can be used to acquire tutorials from Harvard, pay bills, listen to podcasts from professors, and watch old Disney movies.
The sleek design of the products may have you curious, but the inimitable features available to each costumer may leave you speechless.
