Beware Droid Drop
New Verizon smart phone the Droid drop will be happening soon.

Beware of the Droid, I am sure you have seen the recent commercials on the TV but they are not showing the device itself. Verizon is launching this new super smart phone made by Motorola. This phone is the first phone Verizon has working on the Google Android operating system. This is also the first super smart phone being offered by the Verizon network.
The Droid being compared to the Apple iphone seems to be the next best thing. This device is really a handheld computer and also holds the feature of being able to make phone calls. This phone is very fast running off the 3 G network. This is the first phone to run off Android 2.0 which has worked out some of the bugs and also offers more features for your new phone. This device also has a turn by turn voice prompted GPS system. This GPS platform offers so much more than usual ones showing you the buildings in the area along with the roads.
The Droid offers a high resolution touch screen being bigger than iphone coming in at 3.7 inches. it is bigger but also a bit heavier than iphone too. It has a slide keyboard and also an on screen one if you don’t feel like sliding. The battery life for this new device holds a record at 6.4 hours. Voice calls are clear and crisp with less dropped calls because you have the Verizon network backing you.
This phone comes with a desk dock which when placed in the dock displays the time with large icon buttons below. You can also buy a dock for the car which will display the GPS system.
Best Buy has been letting customers pre- order the phone for the past couple of weeks which seems to have worked out fine. You go in put down a deposit and on November 6 they will give you a call when your phone is ready. This seems to solve waiting in long lines for the new phones launch. As of Wednesday November 5th some best Buys have closed pre -registration. You can also pre-order in the Verizon stores but will be paying $399 with a $100 mail- in rebate, but if you pre-register at best Buy it is an instant $100. rebate so you will only be shelling out the $299 not having to wait for the rebate by mail.
Verizon is making the Droid drop on Friday November 6, 2009. They Network is also taking over Time Square in New York City with only ads of the Droid in all of the square. They are also giving Verizon customers free concert tickets for the unveiling of the Motorola Droid.
It seems finally Verizon is getting on the band wagon with introducing this new smart phone. Finally Verizon customers have an option within their own network.
So beware the Droid drop and run to your nearest Verizon store on Friday!
