Dell Studio 1555
Review of the Dell Studio 15.
I have had my studio 15 for about a week, and I like it very much. I have the WLED screen with TruBrite. The screen is glossy, and sunlight can be a problem because of the glare, but the screen is very nice looking so it is definetely not a deal breaker.
The keyboard is very nice, when I type I can bearly hear the keys. The backlit keys are also very nice at night. There are two brightness levels to choose from, full brightness, and half brightness. The backlit keys dont drain the battery very much, only about a couple minutes.
I have the 6 call battery in my Studio 15, and I like it very much. On the power saver power plan, the battery will last around 5 hours without the backlit keys on, and only browsing the internet.
I got the upgraded wireless card with Intel My Wifi Technology. This is very nice if you are in a hotel room and you have more than one computer, you can plug your computer into the wall, and transmit wifi with your computer. It is very nice, I use it for xbox live usually. There are many options for your wifi, you can choose the ssid, and security, and even the channel.
I got the Intel Core Two Duo 2.1 Ghz and the computer runs smoothly, and with 4 gigs of ram, vista only uses 34% of the ram, so there is a lot left for other applications.
The only thing I wish I did Differently when I ordered this laptop was get a graphics card. Even if you only get the lowest upgrade, its worth it.
