Don’t Throw That Cellphone Away

Don’t Throw That Cellphone Away

Each day millions of cell phones are bought, which means tons of cell phones are no longer used. Many cell phones have cameras, mp3 players,QWERTY keyboards and even touchscreens. But eventually an even better phone comes out and the old phone becomes like buried treasure…

 Buried Treasure

In cell phones, the components are very small so it can fit inside a device that can easily slide into a pocket or purse. Well you can sell those parts for money that would have been wasted on buying a new better phone with your hard earned cash. Well you are most likely thinking what sane person would want to buy a phone that is so old when there are better phones on the market?

E-Waste Recycling Companies

That’s right. E-waste recycling companies will buyyour old phones. Not just phones either, any range of electronics from a computer to a GPS and even single use batteries. The best place to find these companies is California, but some will have free pick up to other states. A good site for your search is http://www.ciwmb.ca.gov/

The Value

Is it worth all the trouble? Sometimes you would rather pay the cost of getting a newer phone than do all this work to get your money back. Well not only this good for your wallet it is good for the environment too because factories use less resources, manufacturing electronics becomes cheaper, and prices go down and value goes up!

Very green because many parts contain traces of gold and silver because they conduct electricity well
