Get Digital Not Physical

Forget the DVD recorders without a hard drive: This is the best thing since sliced toast.

Hard Disc (HDD) Recorder: The Future is Fun

Hard disk recorders have built in hard discs that are used as storage space to record all your favorite shows on TV.

They are great for:

  • Storage Galore. You can record long hours of TV, like hundreds of hours.

This DVD recorder has a 250 gig drive. Record up to 345 hours!

  • Save on Cassettes or DVD’s. Imagine all the VHS tapes or DVD’s needed to save hundreds of hours of recordings.
  • Editing. You can edit your recordings, like delete certain sections, or combine 2 recordings into one. It’s very flexible.
  • If you are recording a show, you can watch the earlier part of the same show, while it’s still recording. This is fantastic.
  • Reliability. Very solid here, no more worries about the dvd that gets scratched and you happen to miss out on your favorite program.
  • Instant Access. Recordings can be accessed instantly like DVD’s, without rewinding like in the older VHS video cassettes.
  • Use as a normal dvd player, play music, see your pictures.I don’t use this much, but it’s a bonus if you need it.

Hard Disks in HDD Recorders literally replaces one hundred or more of the older VHS tapes.

Personal Experiences

I personally have an LG Hard disc recorder, which you can record on both hard disc and single discs, but the hard drive beats a disc anyday, and the satisfaction of owning one is immense.I don’t personally recommend recording onto a disc as they are unreliable as, because of the issue of scratches.

I love the endless shows I can record, without any hassles. It’s the best thing since sliced bread!

Conclusions of the digital experience.

My recommendation is to avoid DVD recorders without hard drives and go for ones with the integrated hard discs as you do so much with them. You will have so much fun, you will wonder why didn’t you buy one before.Look for features, such as editing, but even the most basic recorder should be enough for everyone’s needs.Steer clear of unnamed cheaper brands, which might not last as long as established, better known brands.
