First off you need a cell phone that can receive picture messages. Even if your phone cannot receive pictures but can receive picture MESSAGES, this will work.

Step 1: Edit the ring tone down to what you want it to be. Find the song you want and edit it down to approximately 20-30 seconds for a good ring tone. Or if you just want the whole song on your phone to listen to it, do not edit it at all. Save this as an MP3 file.

Step 2: Open your email and attach the MP3 file to a message.

Step 3: when putting in the “Sent To” information, you will put in your 10 digit phone number (example: 2345678901) @ your carriers website.

Carrier’s websites:

Verizon: @vzwpix.com
Sprint: @messaging.sprintpcs.com
T-Mobile: @tmomail.net
Cingular/AT&T: @mms.att.net
Virgin Mobile: @vmobl.com
Alltel: @message.alltel.com

so for example if your carrier was Verizon you would put something like: 1234567890@vzwpix.com

then send it

in a few minutes you will recieve a picture message on your phone. Just go to options and save the sound.

Then there you go… free ring tone.
