How to Repair Discs
If you have a dirty or damaged disc of any kind (except a BluRay disc, as you can damage them), I can tell you how to repair them.
First off, you need white toothpaste, a roll of paper towels, water and patience.
Cleaning: Take a paper towel and some water and clean the disc, if you see the scratch or other kind of damage, mark it with the paper towel.
Repairing the disc: Take the tube of toothpaste and spread a line of it about half way down the disc, and take the paper towel and rub the toothpaste gently around the disc. Now, put water on the paper towel and dab the disc gently with water. Take another, clean paper towel and dry the water, to harden the toothpaste, put the disc under a lamp, light bulb, or the sun, rotate the disc slowly for 20 seconds, and try it. If it does not work, repeat until it works.
I figured out how to do this when halo 2 didn’t work, and I had to play it. It’s an addiction to me. This works with Xbox games, PS2 games, PS3 games, PC games, DVD’s, CD’s, other games of any kind, but does not work with BluRay discs, as you can damage them. You can use this method or you can buy a $200 disc buffer.
