Advantages: Good quality sound on all types of audio
Disadvantages: A little too much treble on some tracks
These headphones are made by Denon, a company which I had never heard of in my life, but a friend recommended me to them, so I borrowed these headphones.
Firstly, the design of these are pretty generic, one of about a thousand that look exactly the same as it. So I wasn’t expecting much. Then I tried them on many different types of audio.
I was impressed by every kind. My first choice was a classical piece (this tests all kinds of dynamics and pitches)- I was amazed by the superb depth of the music flowing through my ears. I then proceeded to a spoken word track- this was also impressive; the words were perfectly clear and, unlike many headphones, the treble balance was great. Pop music was another strong point, although a tiny proportion did sound a tiny bit tinny (and I know the tracks to not be tinny themselves)
Sound isolation, too, was good, although it isn’t mentioned in the description, I could barely hear anything but the music. The volume is also great, there is no need to worry about these phones not being loud enough, they can go to a deafening sound!
Overall, these lightweight, mid-priced headphones are a great buy for those who want good quality sound for their music player.
Summary: Worth the buy- much better than any included in-ear headphones.
