Is Nokia Reacting Too Late?
Despite N97 and Booklet 3G, it seems.
It is very amazing when a worldwide leader like Nokia seems to be surprised due to consumer expectations.
During many years, Nokia has meant “easy-to-use-and-people-preferred-mobile-telephones”. This privileged condition let Nokia reach 38 percent of mobile telephones market.
But in a sad chapter –for them- it seems that Nokia has not anticipated to “Smartphone Phenomenon”, whose quintessence is two products very dissimilar, like Iphone and Blackberry.
Nokia´s reaction has been N97 Smartphone, and the Booklet 3G announce. This move seems to be an attempt to recover leadership anticipating consumer’s preferences, due to gurus say “People will prefer devices with a larger screen than Smartphones”. Perhaps Nokia will offer in a near future some device “50% laptop – 50% Smartphone”.
Will it be true?

Nokia’s N900 will be more like PC than ever. It’s a hybrid- tablet pc cum mobile phone! With Maemo linux, Nokia promises to provide many PC like advantages to this device. Nokia mainly focuses on browsing experience and graphics as this phone will boast dedicated OpenGL graphics processor along with 600 MHz ARM Cortex! In case of N97, it’s not much good as even Omnia HD is faster than it and boasts 256 MB RAM and has great display and Wi-fi! Nokia lacks innovation now!
